Patricia L. Walsh was the first female participant in the
Vietnam war to write a book about her experiences. Forever Sad The Hearts
was a novel published by Avon Books in 1982 and went through four printings. Paramount
Pictures optioned Forever Sad The Hearts for Cher the year she won Best Actress
for Moonstruck but they couldn't get a good script and the project went into turnaround.
Pat has since written a memoir, RIVER CITY a nurse’s year in Vietnam, and done her own screen adaptation. At patriciawalsh.com/RIVER_CITY_Patricia_L_Walsh.pdf you can anonymously download her script.
